Hello!

Well-written post as always ("Bible as Improv" review)! What Martoia seems to be writing about is what caused my initial departure from my church - it no longer felt like an uplifting experience where we learned from God and how to emulate Him, but more of a lecture and how we aren't worthy, etc. Thank you for sharing your words.

Sincerely,
Christie Ann P. Quijano

This book sounds like it addresses exactly the issues that have been on my mind lately about how we should interpret the Bible. I definitely have to check it out.
